Dr. Nils-Otto Jaasko works extensively with patient populations in the field of fitness and rehabilitation. Through his academic, athletic, and clinical experience, Otto is able to provide a unique mix of sports medicine and fitness expertise as well as personal- and sports performance training tailored to his clients.
Otto received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2020 and a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2016, both from Florida Gulf Coast University. He successfully passed his Board of Certification examinations to become a certified sports medicine provider and is one of the few PTs certified in Dry Needling in Naples. Otto is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and the American Physical Therapy Association and has presented research at national conferences throughout his undergraduate and graduate careers.
In addition, Otto has served as a Teacher’s Assistant in Human Anatomy & Physiology and as a Graduate Assistant in the Movement Science course series for Doctorate students at FGCU.
Born in Rovaniemi, Finland, Otto moved to the U.S. to play top-level competitive ice hockey and study sports medicine and physical therapy. He has worked with a clientele ranging from NCAA athletes to individuals with various neurological, vestibular, orthopedic, and cardiovascular conditions.
When not assisting clients with their fitness and rehabilitation needs, Otto enjoys ice hockey, soccer, pickleball, tennis, and various other sports.
